Flora, Zephyros and The Blossoming of Creativity
Fired clay, steel, Italian crepe paper, acrylic; life-sized figure (16"x 62"x 25") - other dimensions vary depending on installation. Unique.
In Greek and Roman mythology, Flora is the goddess of the blossoming of flowers. She is married to the God of the West Wind, Zephyros, considered the gentlest of all the winds. In this installation, Flora and Zephyros are making love, and from their love blossoms springtime and creativity.
Originally installed at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, in the images you can see two installation options including the Italian crepe paper flower spiral. The last images show another option where Flora can be placed on a pedestal without the additional flowers - contact us regarding discounted price without the installation and flower spiral.
