"Meraki: Born of Clay" life-sized, 60”x 13”x 13,” fired clay
In Greek, “Meraki” means to do something with passion, from the heart - to put something of yourself into your work. This sculpture represents how discovering my passion for clay brought my world to blossom. Finding your passion can be an adventurous expedition. The blue form at the base of the sculpture is a metaphor for what you seek, like a hidden artifact buried deep in the ocean of your soul from which, once discovered, your life springs forth with joy.
