Reflection: Questions at a Crossroads
Reflection: Questions at a Crossroads
fired clay with oils, 3/4 life-sized, 15.5”x 36”x 16”
This sculpture is covered with questions we ask ourselves at various crossroads in our lives, from the simplicity of a young child asking, “what do I want to be when I grow up?” to someone asking “should I stay or should I go?” to “what is my purpose - what am I here to do?” The script is subtle and written in a fashion that is not easy to read (but life questions rarely are). As she ponders these questions, she gazes down into her own mirror image, a tranquil moment of self reflection.
